Job Title:                        Child Care Worker

Reporting to:              Kids Academy ELC

Salary:                         AUD $75,000 - AUD $85,000 per annum, plus super

Hours:                             Full Time Permanent (38 hours per week)

Location:                       39 King David Blvd. Madeley

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

This role is responsible for the supervision and care of children in our childcare centre.  

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Providing education and care to children in a long day care setting

Supervising children during daily routines, activities and play

Assisting in the implementation of age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Supporting children’s emotional, physical and social development

Observing children’s behaviour and development and maintaining appropriate documentation

Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times

Maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Education and Care Services National Regulations, and service policies

Working collaboratively with educators, families and service leadership

ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum qualification required is AQF Certificate III level qualification or 3 years relevant work experience. 

WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Experience working in a long day care or early learning environment

Current Working With Children Check 

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
