The Childcare Educator will be responsible for supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children through engaging educational and recreational activities. This role involves fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages positive behavior, creativity, and social interaction.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct fun and educational activities that promote learning and creativity. 
• Support children in developing social skills while guiding and managing behavior positively. 
• Supervise children’s daily routines, including personal care and hygiene. 
• Prepare and arrange learning resources, materials, and equipment for planned activities. 
• Read stories, lead games, and encourage participation in structured play and group sessions.
• Oversee children during playtime and leisure activities to ensure safety and engagement.
• Assist with daily care tasks such as toileting, dressing, hygiene, and feeding in a respectful manner. 
• Prepare and provide healthy meals and snacks, taking into account dietary and allergy needs. 
• Keep the environment safe, clean, and hazard-free, addressing safety issues promptly. 
• Provide first aid when required, adhering to proper health and safety protocols. 
• Accompany children on excursions and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and active participation.
• Collaborate with educators, professionals, and support staff to enhance children’s overall learning and development.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 year of experience.
• Current Emergency First Aid certificate for Education and Care. (preferred) 
• Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training. (or wiling to have one) 
• Valid Working with Children Check clearance. 
• Accredited Child Protection Training (or wiling to have one)
