Adeona Coorparoo is inviting applications from experienced and passionate early childhood educators for the position of Lead Educator at its Coorparoo centre. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a salary in the range of $75 to 80K per annum plus superannuation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality, play-based programs in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), while supporting and mentoring fellow educators to uphold excellence in care and education.

Task & responsibilities

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate programs based on individual child interests, needs, and abilities
• Provide educational leadership and guidance to a team of educators
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant state regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation of children’s learning and development
• Foster warm and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments
• Collaborate with the Centre Director and Educational Leader in curriculum planning and educator development
• Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing for all children

Qualification & experience

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA-recognised equivalent)
• Minimum 12 months of experience in a Lead Educator or senior educator role in a licensed early learning service
• Solid understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and the National Regulations
• Valid First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills
