Detailer Estimator - Timber Trusses and Frames

Worldwide Truss and Frames is growing, and we're looking for motivated, detail‑focused individuals to join our expanding Detailing and Estimating team. We specialise in the design and manufacture of prefabricated timber roof trusses and wall frames, delivering high‑quality products backed by a skilled and supportive team.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Detailers or Estimators, but we also welcome applications from recent graduates with a Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction who are ready to begin their career as a Trainee Detailer. You'll work alongside senior team members, receive comprehensive training, and become a valued part of a collaborative, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for timber trusses and frames

• Produce cost estimates and proposals for residential and commercial projects

• Communicate with clients to gather and clarify project requirements

• Interpret architectural and engineering plans with confidence

• Work efficiently with prefabrication design software and internal systems

• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality outcomes

• Use Pryda or MiTek software (experience preferred; training provided)

What You Bring

• Strong computer skills, including CAD proficiency

• Experience as a Detailer or Estimator (preferred), ideally in timber trusses and frames

• Minimum of 6 months or less detailing or estimating experience required

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organisational and planning skills

• Clear and effective communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines

• A genuine interest in construction and prefabrication
