Childcare Room Leader – Norlane (North Geelong)

Montessori Minds Childcare and Kindergarten (MONTESSORI MINDS PTY LTD) in North Geelong, is seeking a full time Room Leader with the right attitude and passion for working with children with at 1-3 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Diploma qualification or equivalent Early Childhood Education and Care in substantial experience.

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience as a Room leader in a childcare centre.
• Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates, Current Working with Children's Check.
• A passion for delivering quality inclusive childcare.
• Flexible and personal approach.
• Able to work in a team and lead a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Great time management and organisation skills.

Salary of$76,000 - $80,000 + super

Task & responsibilities

• Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
• Develop the Children’s Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines). Write up the program, co-operating with the Children’s needs with staff input.
• Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
• Delivering consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework
• Ensure that records are maintained accurately for each child in care
• Promote positive parent, centre and staff relationships.
• Maintain compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for children and staff.
• Play a central role in creating an engaging and enriching learning environment. 
• Collaborate with families to understand each child's needs and interests.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum of Diploma or equivalent Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current Working With Children (WWC) Check. 
• Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates. 
• At least 1-3 years of experience in highly relevant role required. 
• Competency in the above tasks and duties.
