Scotts Motor Group- Artarmon ,Sydney, a fully owned subsiduary of VT Holdings based in Japan is seeking to employ a full time ‘Automotive-Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer’ to join our accounts team handling Honda and Nissan brands.The ideal candidate will need to have proven experience in a similar role.

Applicants for this position with Pentana and automotive experience preferred.

In this role, you can enjoy working full time (Monday - Friday) located at Artarmon, NSW, 8.30am-5.00pm

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare payments in time according to payment schedule.

  • Invoice Processing: Accurately process and code invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.

  • Ensure all weekly/monthly report deadlines are met on a timely basis. 

  • Preparation and monthly review of allocated balance sheet reconciliations, including ongoing reviews of standard costing entries and analysis. 

  • Manage the budget and cost control systems and assist departments with budget management. 

  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly/quarterly management pack and departmental cost centre reporting.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial laws related to accounts payable.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual finance budget and business plans.

  • Assist business process development and project management.

  • Assist external and internal audit.

  • Other adhoc reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Automotive industry experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong MS excel skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and to work within strict deadlines and reporting timetables.

  • Ability to identify business related processes requiring improvement.
