Spray Painter

About the role  

Nauticoat is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spray Painter to join our team in Armadale, Western Australia. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for providing top-quality painting services to maintain and enhance the appearance of our clients' vessels, as well as undertaking projects on a variety of surfaces and structures not limited to boats, ensuring exceptional results across all applications. 

 

What you'll be doing

• Prepare boat exteriors and interiors for painting by fairing, sanding, cleaning, masking and encapsulating

• Mix and apply paints and coatings using airless and conventional spray painting equipment

• Perform fine finishing and detailing to deliver flawless, high-quality results

• Ensure all surfaces are adequately prepared and finished to client and industry standards

• Maintain and clean all painting equipment to a high standard

• Comply with health and safety protocols at all times

• Collaborate effectively with the team to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction

 

Ideal Applicant will have

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the marine or paint industry

• Proven experience with airless and conventional spray painting systems

• Strong skills in masking, detailing, and fine finishing

• Proficiency in filling/fairing to prepare surfaces for top coats

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to achieve a flawless finish

• Knowledge of coatings and surface preparation techniques

• A safety-first mindset with a solid understanding of WHS practices

• Good time management and problem-solving abilities

• A positive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Relevant trade qualifications will be highly regarded

• Full Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence
