About The Job 

Based in our Picton yard, we are looking for a dedicated and motivated HR Truck Driver to become part of our team. The position is required to load and unload trucks and secure loads for transportation. A current forklift ticket is essential for this role.

On A Typical Day

Our HR Truck Drivers are responsible for waste oil and bin collections in multiple locations within the South West region. Your workdays will be a mix of operating flatbeds and pump trucks to various clients from mechanical workshops, car dealerships and industrial sites. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing pre-start checks and reporting maintenance faults and defects.

  • Completing administrative tasks such as controlled waste tracking forms, waste collection receipts, delivery dockets, and consignment notes.

  • Collecting waste products from designated customers and freight yards 

  • Unloading the truck of collected waste products.

  • Fitness for work is imperative as this role is physical due to handling of pump hoses, equipment and accessing the top of tanks via fixed ladder.

  • Maintaining a fatigue logbook with trip details, including required fatigue breaks to ensure full compliance with Commercial Driver Fatigue regulations.

Who are we looking for? 

We are seeking candidates who meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Valid HR Driver's License 

  • HRWL - Forklift ticket - Essential

  • Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment health check, including drug and alcohol testing.

  • Good standard of physical fitness 

  • Highly motivated and focused

  • Demonstrated initiative, judgement, and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional and well-presented, with strong communication skills.

  • Pump truck experience (an advantage).
