MCS is a South Australian owned and operated business in the Health sector servicing Hospitals and Aged Care facilities in the supply and installation of Nurse Call Systems, Electronic Communications Systems and Assistive Care Technologies.

 

Seeking a Trainee Technician 

Due to continued growth we are seeking a reliable, polite and well spoken person with basic technical knowledge.  

The role will be varied and include working on construction sites, installing cabling and systems on new building projects. The role with experience will develop into servicing and maintenance of Nurse Call Systems within Hospitals and Aged Care Facilities throughout South Australia.

The role would suit a motivated person with an interest in Electronics and or networking, full training on Nurse Call Systems will be provided. This is a great opportunity to work along side some skilled and knowledgeable people. 

 

There are no formal qualifications required 

Applicants must be willing to adhere to SA Health requirements with reference to any mandated vaccinations, current and future for entering care facilities. You must also be eligible to obtain a National Police clearance for working unsupervised with the aged, and working with children check.

Tasks with applicable training will include but are not limited to:

  • Attending Hospitals and Aged care facilities throughout SA including country locations

  • Installation of data cabling adhering to relevant Aust. Standards 

  • Servicing, fault finding and repair of Nurse Call Systems

  • Routine Maintenance of installed systems 

Favourable Attributes :

  • Electronics, an understanding of the basic fundamentals 

  • Knowledge of Networking / IT Fundamentals 

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software applications

  • Neat and legible handwriting 

  • Open cabling license

Mandatory Requirements :

  • Current SA Drivers License (ability to drive a manual vehicle an advantage) 

  • Eligibility to obtain a National Police Clearance clearance for working unsupervised with the aged, and working with children check.

  • Be vaccinated as required and when required as required by SA Health as a requirement for entering SA Hospitals and or Aged Care facilities covering Covid & Influenza and any other communicable diseases in the future.
