Experienced Maintenance Fitter

The Role:

HW Greenham  currently has a vacancy at its Tongala processing facility for a Maintenance Fitter, Boilermaker,Electrician or Plumber.  This facility has been in operation for 30+ years and processes large numbers of cattle, much of which is destined for export markets. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the successful candidate must have the ability to:

• Complete site wide capital works.
• Undertake both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Be flexible with your hours of work as some maintenance activity occurs outside normal processing operations hours, including some weekend work, shift work and on-call roster.

You Will Have:

• Current trade certificate (or equivalent qualification).
• Knowledge and understanding in pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and packaging machines.
• Previous safety and operational experience with working at heights and confined spaces. would be an advantage.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team.
• Dedication to learning, high quality work and achieving goals.
• Experience in welding  (highly regarded)
• Initiative in decision making and problem solving
• Comprehensive trade knowledge.
• A current forklift license would be an advantage.
• Effective communication and strong computer skills (MS applications).
• Attention to detail and gain satisfaction from getting things done right, first time
