Senior Butcher

Are you an experienced senior Butcher looking for an exciting new opportunity?

This is a hands-on role involving the operation and daily running of an upmarket butcher in Bicheno, Tasmania.

There is an existing Butchery in our Bicheno Tasmania Supermarket, which supplies other locations, and we are looking to expand that business into a separate Butcher’s shop. 

The Offer:

The Position:

• Prepare meat to be sold across multiple sites. Methodically and accurately breaking, cutting and portioning of meat.

• Daily assessment of stock, particularly stock levels and stock aging, so as to minimise wastage.

• Contribute to the development of procedures and products.

• Lead a small team and develop the business.

• Act in accordance with Workplace, Health & Safety and Quality Assurance rules.

 The Candidate:

• Must be an experienced and highly competent trade qualified Butcher.

• Demonstrated ability in handling workloads, multitasking and prioritising.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• A positive, can-do attitude. Someone who shows initiative with a common sense approach.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment. 

• The ability to work effectively under pressure, minimising production downtime.
