About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our specialised Service team based in Mascot responsible for providing a great experience for our customers who require support with service, repairs, warranties or spare parts.

This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, fault-diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining products across our distributed product range.  It’s an exciting opportunity for an individual with a mechanical aptitude, an affinity to solve problems and a passion to learn and apply knowledge – a brilliant way to power your career with an industry-leading employer!

Key responsibilities include:

  • building and maintaining knowledge of new and existing products across our distributed products range;
  • testing, troubleshooting, fault-diagnosing, modifying, updating and repairing products safely and in compliance with manufacturers’ guidelines, including firmware and hardware updates;
  • collaborating with Service Administrators to provide quotes and repair timeframes and updates, so customer expectations can be effectively set and managed; and
  • accurately documenting and maintaining records in required systems and platforms.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • A qualification in Electronics, preferably a Trade Certificate III or equivalent.
  • Current Drivers’ Licence – Class C minimum.
  • Demonstrated experience working with audio visual, lighting and staging equipment will be highly advantageous.
  • A mechanical aptitude or understanding and experience with circuit board re-work, including the ability to read, interpret and articulate circuit diagrams.
  • Fault finding skills in digital and analogue electronics.
  • Distributed Audio Network experience.
  • Well-organised, with a customer-oriented approach.
  • An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
