Security officer Crowd Control Venues

About the role

This is a casual security officer role providing crowd control and security services at venues in the Pimpama & Gold Coast, QLD area. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patrons at events and functions. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong customer service focus and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

What you'll be doing

• Providing security and crowd control at events, concerts, and other venues
• Monitoring entry and exit points to control access and prevent unauthorised entry
• Responding to and de-escalating any potential security incidents or disturbances
• Observing and reporting any suspicious or concerning behaviour
• Maintaining a visible security presence to deter any unlawful or disruptive activities
• Liaising with venue management, event organisers, and emergency services as required
• Adhering to all relevant security protocols and procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a security or crowd control role, ideally in the events or hospitality industry
• A current security licence and first aid certificate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• A proactive and vigilant approach to identifying and addressing potential security risks
• A flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
