Works Supervisor - Road Construction
- Immediate start.
- $135,000 to $145,000 gross p.a. (depending on experience).
- Total value $175,525 to $186,675 p.a. (including 11.5% super and vehicle).
- 4 Weeks holidays per year.

About the Role:
If you have an excellent understanding of asphalt, in-situ stabilisation, and civil construction processes and a willingness to get the job done to high-quality standards in a safe manner then this job will be most rewarding for you.
This is a hands-on role that will require you to organise and lead on the ground an operations team executing Asphalt Paving, Full-Service In-Situ Stabilisation and Civil Construction works. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering works on-time, on-budget, and to the highest possible quality.
This role is based in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the road and/or civil construction industry.
- Direct hands-on experience with Asphalt and/or In-Situ Stabilisation and/or Civil Construction.
- Experienced leader in road and/or civil construction processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a construction team.
- Demonstrated experience in operating heavy plant.
- Demonstrated experience in quantity measurement and site/project drawing.
- You must be honest, reliable, responsible and have the desire to succeed.
- HR Truck Licence.
Key Position Responsibilities:
- Supervision and management of works, including QA, WHS, EMP, time, cost, quality, and other performance outcomes of the project.
- Maintain a high standard of communication with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Manage program of works and resourcing to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
- Achieve the best possible financial performance for each project through the coordination, programming and administration of all contracting operations and obligations.
- Prepare and implement project pre-plans.
- Review and fully implement project QA, WHS and EMP requirements.
- Implement site risk assessment.
- Implement project-specific inductions, risk assessments, site hazards, and WHS requirements with all on-site personnel.
- Monitor, review, and report WHS performance and issues.
- Identify equipment and personnel and competency requirements for the works.
- Monitor and review project plans and program of works.
- Ensure sub-contractor ‘s compliance to projects and company requirements.
- Report and resolve conflicts and disputes both on-site and with suppliers and clients as required.
- Other duties as required by the General Manager and Managing Director.
Preferable Skills:
- HC Truck Licence.
- Mechanical background and welding skills would be beneficial but not essential.
