About the Roles
1. A Class Electrician
As an A Class Electrician, you’ll be working in a highly automated production environment, focusing on:
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Fault finding, with a preference for Omron/Siemens PLC experience.
- Installation, fabrication, and maintenance of machinery, including robotics and variable speed drive systems.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards.
As a Maintenance Electrical Fitter, your role will involve maintaining and repairing automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include:
- Preventative maintenance and routine adjustments on automated equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repairing machinery such as mixers, ovens, conveyors, and motors.
- Workshop and project-based work, including commissioning new equipment.
- Fault diagnosis and timely repairs to minimise downtime.
- Adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Relevant Certification: Full A-Class Electrical Licence or Electrical Trade Qualification (Non-Restricted Electrical Licence required for Electrical Fitters).
- Experience in FMCG: Background in fast-paced, automated manufacturing environments, preferably food production.
- Fault-Finding: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with automated machinery.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Mechanical Skills: Exposure to pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and automated systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently on workshop repairs (e.g., lathes, mills, welders).
- Project work experience is advantageous.
