About the Role

The National Service Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing strategies and programs to enhance MMAL’s dealership service, focusing on increasing parts & service revenue and customer satisfaction.  This role involves collaborating with regional and functional stakeholders, including state General Managers and Parts & Service Development Managers, to achieve key performance indicators for service business performance.  The National Service Manager ensures the service program effectively engages customers throughout their ownership journey.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop requirements for workshop standards & reporting, including service facilities, staffing, technology, and training, and monitor dealership compliance
  • Manage the MMAL Diamond Advantage Program, ensuring that the Capped Price Service program maintains competitiveness and value to the dealer network
  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance the customer experience with aftersales, with a focus on overall aftersales business performance
  • Develop and implement a national service program standard, that improve the effectiveness and consistency of the service experience across the dealer network

 Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in business management or an alternate relevant qualification, or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Auto-electrician and/or automotive trade qualification is advantageous
  • Previous leadership experience and demonstrated ability to create a high-performing team culture
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies and programs to achieve targets and brand objectives
  • Keen relationship building ability, with strong communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence
