Heavy Rigid Truck Driver

About the role

Join the dynamic team of Advanced Plumbing & Drains' as a Heavy Rigid Truck Driver based in Canberra, ACT. This full-time position is an integral part of our growing team.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operating heavy rigid trucks to cart to and from multiple commercial sites across Canberra
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safe delivery of cargo
• Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks as required
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation
• Providing exceptional customer service to our clients

What we're looking for

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating heavy rigid vehicles
• Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Customer service orientation and the ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work occasional overtime as required
• Excavator/Skid Steer experience an advantage but not essential
