Indoor Plant Hire - Install Technician

Plantscape Interiors service plants in offices, malls, and function centers etc. throughout the Adelaide region. We also do a large number of short term hires for many events in Adelaide and surrounds, including the Tour Down Under, Tennis Australia, Royal Adelaide Show, Weddings, the Fringe and many Corporate and private events.

With an expanding work load, we require an additional team member to join our company in a long term stable position. 

We are offering the following conditions

We are offering 5 days per week, Mon - Fri  7:15am - 3pm with an occasional install or pull out after hours - though we try to rotate this through so that one person doesn't get stuck doing it all of the time.

Full training is provided = we work within a buddy system so that no one is thrown out on their own until such time as they are fully familiar with their duties. Most of the time there are double ups even when new staff are established within a roll.

Despite regular duties there is always variety. One day you might be tidying up the warehouse and nursery, the next you might be hanging some fake ivy at a corporate event or taking a watering trolley to one of our staff doing service rounds because the one they took broke down. You may be darting over to Bunnings to get Gaffa and Plastic for an install and the list goes on.

 

Applicant will need the following attributes

** Be a people person - we are not just about  plants - we are also about people. You must be able to communicate easily with other staff members, our clients and anyone else you bump into over the course of the day.

** Police clearance is highly likely to be required on employment

** Working with Children clearance may be required at some point 

** As a condition of employment you will need to have a Flu  vaccination

** It goes without saying that you need to be neat and tidy as you will be visiting corporate locations

** Hold a current drivers license and able to drive a manual vehicle

** This jobs keeps you fit as it also involves manual duties to varying degrees.

 The position is not suitable if you have pre-existing injuries etc

** We are all punctual at this place and as such I would expect any new team member to hold the same values.

** Plantscape staff are like a family unit, we all get along most of the time and work well as a team when its crunch time. We also have times when things don't mesh neatly or as they should, but we always manage to find common ground. Its for these reasons that you must be a team player.

** No previous horticultural experience is necessary as full training provided.

We have staff from the full gamut of professions in this place -  ex Teacher /  Child Care worker / Retail assistants / Chefs x 2 / Factory worker etc.etc.

So what ever your previous background or employment , don't let working with plants scare you as the roll is far more than just plants.
