About the Role:

As a crucial member of our design team, you will:

• Validate designs: Use FEA and calculations to validate designs.
• Develop New Products: Spearhead the creation of new product lines, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in trailer design.
• Create and Innovate: Develop detailed 3D models and 2D layout drawings of bulk handling trailers using Autodesk Inventor, ensuring precision and innovation.
• Manage Revisions: Implement revisions to existing designs, continuously improving our products, and efficiently managing documentation with Autodesk Vault.
• Collaborate: Work closely with Production Staff during trailer builds, providing essential technical guidance and support.

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. (minimum 5 yrs experience)
• Proficiency in FEA analysis, report writing and documentation (Automotive experience an advantage)
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault & Nastran.
• Experience in 3D design of large assemblies, including parametric modelling and iLogic.
• Knowledge of metal processing methods such as welding, machining, and CNC operations.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for innovation and developing new products.
