Butcher

TUCKERBOX STORES KUNUNURRA are looking for a full-time Butchers to work in our Kununurra stores. A package of $70,000-80,000 plus super is on offer for the right candidate.

Position Description: The position is located in Kununurra, WA 6743. Reporting to the Store Manager, the position is responsible for selecting, cutting, trimming, preparing and arranging meat products for sale. He/she will also operate meat/smallgoods processing machines for this purpose and supervise Assistant Butchers. 

Main duties and tasks:

• preparing meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size for display or as ordered

• preparing crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts

• selecting and preparing meat to produce smallgoods

• operating machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat

• advising customers on the suitability and uses of cuts of meat
