About the Role:

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team in Brisbane. If you’re mechanically minded, proactive, and thrive both in the workshop and out in the field, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide variety of earthmoving plant, heavy machinery, and light vehicles. You'll support projects across multiple sites, ensuring equipment is reliable, safe, and running at peak performance.
Please note: some work away from home may be required depending on project needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair, service, and maintain earthmoving plant, equipment, and light vehicles

  • Implement and follow scheduled maintenance plans and asset management systems

  • Travel between project sites for field-based servicing and breakdown support

  • Provide technical support to project teams

  • Deliver basic service training to plant operators as needed

  • Work closely with operators to identify and resolve potential mechanical issues

  • Complete detailed service reports and maintenance documentation

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams at all levels

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Trade-qualified Diesel Fitter (or equivalent)

  • Current General Safety Induction Card (White Card)

  • Minimum open drivers licence (HR licence is highly regarded)

  • Solid background in heavy plant, mechanical, and electrical systems

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Diagnostic and fault-finding expertise

  • Basic welding and boiler making experience (including MIG)

  • Strong customer service orientation and professional approach

  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks

  • Proficient in using digital tools including smartphones and iPads

  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and guide others

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Vista.
