About Terra Verde:
Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.
The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.
Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.
This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.
About the Role:
This role involves managing the onboarding process for all machinery arriving on site by completing the necessary forms and maintaining accurate records of all equipment, whether it is hired, provided by subcontractors, or owned by TVJV. The successful candidate will be responsible for issuing identification stickers and assigning unique ID numbers to each piece of equipment upon arrival. Additionally, they will monitor and track service due dates for all hired and subcontractor-supplied equipment, ensuring maintenance is completed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the onboarding process for all new equipment arriving on site—whether hired or provided by subcontractors.
Ensure all machinery is accurately recorded and kept up to date in the site’s Plant Register.
Proactively monitor and maintain up-to-date servicing records within the Equipment Register.
Coordinate with the Surface Plant Manager by providing a three-week forecast for upcoming service schedules and third-party inspections.
Gather and maintain detailed information regarding the status and condition of all registered equipment.
Maintain direct communication with hire companies to promptly address any required on-site interventions, including servicing and repairs of hired equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
Demonstrated experience working as part of a plant team on major civil construction projects
Strong background in heavy equipment inspection and compliance
Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with small subcontractors on-site
High attention to detail with a focus on safety and operational efficiency
Effective team player with proactive communication and assertive coordination skills
Solid understanding of Australian standards relating to heavy, earthmoving, and lifting equipment
Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Possession of relevant safety, construction, and industry certifications and licenses
Skills and Attributes:
Builds strong relationships to influence and navigate internal dynamics
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Shows a collaborative mindset and a strong teamworking spirit
