We are currently seeking an experienced Aluminium Welder/ Fabricator to join our team starting immediately. This is your chance to work with a company that values precision, skill, and safety and offers an immediate start. This is a casual position with the option to transfer to full time after 6 months.

The role will be in our Austral International team which designs and manufactures aluminum safety access covers and associated products the water industry (http://www.australint.com.au). We are located in Derwent Park, Southern Tasmania.
Job Role: Fabricate and weld aluminum components with precision and efficiency.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Aluminum welder and fabricator able to demonstrate core competencies.
· Understanding and experience in use of various welding technologies such as pulse mig welding and tig welding.
· Understanding of the properties of aluminum when applying heat and how to use techniques to prevent distortion of work pieces.
· Ability to professionally use a range of hand and power tools to carry out other fabrication roles such as cutting, drilling, parts assembly, grinding, polishing.
· Reading, interpretation and understanding of basic fabrication drawings and specifications.
· Ability to follow instructions and manage personal workflow
· Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
· General workshop duties

· Communication: the ability to communicate clearly, understand the instructions given and preparedness to ask questions if in doubt.

· Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
