Workshop Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Join the team at DEUTZ AUSTRALIA PTY LTD' as a full-time Workshop Diesel Mechanic in Dandenong South, VIC. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and overhaul of diesel engines and related equipment for the Mining, Commercial Vehicles, Rail Vehicles and wide variety other applications.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled servicing and maintenance of diesel engines and equipment

• Diagnose and repair faults in diesel engines, components and systems

• Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble diesel engines and equipment

• Carry out workshop duties including parts procurement, inventory management and workshop cleanliness

• Collaborating R&D team to assist in product development

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies, procedures and safety standards

What we're looking for

• Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, servicing and overhaul

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to quality, safety and customer service
