About us:

Point Force Carpentry are seeking Qualified Carpenters for full time work around Sydney City and Outer Suburbs.

Our work is mainly high end renovations and new builds, so experience in that field is preferred.

We have great work relationships with some of Sydney’s top high end home builders, so we expect our carpenters to be respectful, understanding of deadlines and have a great working attitude

Applicants must have a good knowledge of all aspects of carpentry, be well presented, punctual, have good communication skills, be able to work in team environments and on their own when required


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse drawings and specifications to identify the necessary materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
  • Select and order suitable timber and materials, then prepare layouts for construction.
  • Cut, assemble, and secure parts to build frameworks, fittings, and structures.
  • Build frameworks, panel systems, roof frames, sub-flooring, and install floorboards, ensuring structures are square and level.
  • Install fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit external wall cladding, doors, and window frames.
  • Assemble prepared wood components to form structures and fittings for installation.
  • Accurately cut and shape wood joints to the required dimensions.
  • Construct concrete formwork as required.
  • Repair and renovate existing structures and fittings.
  • Work with other materials such as plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals when necessary.




 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • AQF Certificate III with at least one year of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of three years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal qualifications.
  • Proficiency with construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Attention to detail and precision in measurements and construction processes.
