Diesel Fitter

We are looking for a qualified Diesel Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. This hands-on role involves scheduling and maintaining our fleet of trucks and machinery at our Ingham and Innisfail depots and arranging for the outsourcing of maintenance and repairs for our equipment located in Townsville and Cairns. Ideally the role will require working hours of 7am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday with some weekend work when required.

The successful applicant will – 

• Trade Qualified in Heavy Diesel Fitting or similar
• Have experience working on a wide range of heavy trucks and machinery
• Experience working on side lift waste trucks, front lift and hook lift trucks desirable but not essential
• Be honest and reliable and have a high level of communication skills
• Be capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Sound computer skills including experience with electronic purchase orders and timesheets
• Be willing to supervise and mentor an apprentice
• Hold a current driver’s licence and a current HR licence is desirable by not essential

Candidates will be required to complete a full medical examination and police check.

We are offering a very competitive salary of up to $120,000 ($50 - $75/hour) + Super + a company vehicle for the right candidate commensurate with experience and we will also consider a relocation allowance depending on the successful applicant’s location.
