Industrial Painter

About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team located in Pakenham Vic. 
You will be responsible for preparing and painting various steel surfaces, ensuring the highest quality standards and safety practices are upheld. 
 

Job tasks and responsibilities:

Typical jobs include painting structural steel, trailers, tanks, machinery and spray application of epoxies and polyurethanes to industry standards using gravity spray gun, pressure pot spray gun and airless spray gun.

Taking responsibility, making good decisions, having pride in your work and reliability are highly desirable attributes.

 

Your duties will include:

• Ability to paint to specification with high quality workmanship
• Surface preparation and treatment to ensure coatings adhere effectively.
• Applying various protective coatings, including epoxies, urethanes, and other paint systems using spray, roller, or brush methods.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, technical data sheets, and project-specific coating requirements.
• Inspect work regularly to ensure coating thickness, surface profile, and finish meet required standards
• Comply with all safety, environment and quality requirements and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Maintain and clean equipment, tools, and work areas.

 

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience in Spray Painting 
• Current Victorian driver’s licence
• Ability to work safely and follow all safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Physically fit and a willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Good communication skills 
• Reliable workers need only apply

 

Tickets/experience desired but NOT required:

• Forklift ticket 
• Previous experience as a Painter in an industrial setting 
• Knowledge of different surface preparation and coating techniques
• Trade qualification spray painting
