Signage Installer

We are seeking a full-time Sign Installer to join our growing Metro Signwriting team, based in Williamstown North.

The successful applicant will be highly organised, have a trade background, and be comfortable working at heights. An outstanding installer will demonstrate precision and possess a sound understanding of the applicable construction and installation techniques.

You will be working with a broad range of signage types including vinyl, channel letters, illuminated signs and retail signage. Experience in the industry is advantageous but not essential for this role. On-the-job training will be provided to further develop skills and understanding of the signage industry.

As part of this role you will be working from of our workshop in Williamstown North, with installations located across Melbourne with our installation team. 

Responsibilities

• Install various types of signage for retail and commercial customers
• Loading and transporting of signage, tools and materials to site
• Preparing the site for installation including the removal of existing signage
• Perform maintenance and repairs to signs as needed
• Operation of tools and equipment
• Adhere to all safety requirements
• Work as part of a team

Skills and experience

• Experience in the signage industry is well regarded but not essential
• Must come from a trade background
• White card
• Drivers Licence
• Physically fit and able to perform labour including lifting, climbing and working at heights
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Has experience or willing to learn to use a boom or scissor lift
• Excellent attention to detail
• Great time management and the ability to work under pressure
