About the job:

For our growing Finance division in Springvale, Australia at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Graduate Accountant. 

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant your mission will be to assist the Junior Accountant and Assistant Accountant to support the day-to-day finance operations, as well as assisting in internal and external reporting requirements.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• Maintaining the day-to-day recordkeeping of accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Prepare accounts payable pay runs twice a month according to payment deadlines
• Manage employee expense reimbursement claims
• Assist with reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Support the finance team in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support the finance team in external and internal audit
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department

What we ask for:

• Degree/diploma in a finance related field (commerce, finance or accounting) essential
• 1-2 years’ of professional experience working in a finance department preferred, but not essential
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in MS Office. Experience in Oracle preferred but not essential
• Proactive and positive communication with colleagues and customers
