FIFO Boiler Maker

About the role

We are seeking a skilled FIFO Boiler Maker to join our team at Boord Constructions' in the Goldfields Region, Western Australia. As a casual employee, you will work on a fly-in, fly-out basis, providing your expertise in welding and metal fabrication to support our construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing business while enjoying the flexibility of a casual work arrangement.

 

Applicants MUST be Perth based.

7:7 Roster

MUST have trade papers, current working at heights, EWP, confined space, construction white card and be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A

 

What you'll be doing

• Perform welding and fabrication work to high quality standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment to shape, cut, and join metal components
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
• Collaborate with the construction team to troubleshoot issues and find efficient solutions
• Contribute to the completion of project milestones and deadlines

What we're looking for

• Recognised trade qualification in Boiler Making or a related field
• Extensive experience in welding and metal fabrication, including a strong understanding of welding techniques and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
• Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive work culture
• Current construction industry safety certificates and licenses
