Following the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. Your responsibilities will include:
Commencing in July 2025, our Aircraft Surface Finisher will be responsible for carrying out assigned surface finishing tasks of Black Hawk aircraft. The Surface Finisher trade is specifically responsible for undertaking paint touch-ups on unit vehicles, order and control stores and maintain the paint shop to OH&S standards.
About you:
To be successful in your application, it is essential you demonstrate the following:
• Certificate III in Surface Finishing
• Minimum two years’ experience as Aircraft Surface Finisher
• Appropriate Surface Finishing trade qualifications (eg. trade papers, apprenticeship, indentures etc)
• Well developed knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASRs
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
