We are seeking a technically minded solutions focused Belt Splicer to join our dynamic team at our Malaga manufacturing facility.  With Sales and Operations all under the same roof, we are in the best position to be able to meet all our customers' needs.  

Experience in belting would be beneficial.  However, if you have worked as a mechanical, service or maintenance technician, we would love to hear from you.  Our only “must have” is that you have gained your experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

This great opportunity can have you working close to home from 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, plus overtime and weekend work available so we can service our customers’ after hours needs.  This may occasionally include travel to regional areas and overnight stays. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Applying various splicing techniques to a vast range of belting materials.
  • Operating mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Preparing, checking and completing internal work orders as per order requested.
  • Completing onsite installations / maintenance of conveyor belting products.
  • Attending to breakdowns at customer sites.
  • Complying with all Health & Safety standards and supporting the HSE officer to achieve a safety culture of zero harm.
  • Maintaining strict housekeeping standards in our workshop and at customer sites.
  • Complying with site rules identified and agreed to as part of either our induction process or those of our customer depending on where you may be working.

You possess the following competencies:

  • Have a minimum of two years’ work experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Possess a proven Technical / mechanical aptitude.
  • Have effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Work well as part of a team and have effective collaboration skills.
  • Are highly motivated and have a ‘can do/hands on’ proactive approach.
  • Pride yourself on your attention to detail and professional work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently when required but not afraid to ask for help.
  • Are proficient in the safe usage of stanley knives. 
  • Highly accurate measuring skills.
  • Ability to manage your own time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Can solve problems in ambiguous situations and apply sound logical principles.
  • A current driving licence with the flexibility to travel around Perth metro & regional areas.
  • A valid Forklift Licence (preferred by not essential).
