Join our Visy Paper Mill team in Gibson Island, one of five Visy Recycle Pulp & Paper mills located across Australia.

About the role

As a Paper Mill Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of our paper manufacturing equipment.  This position involves working on a rotating 12-hour shift roster to support continuous 24/7 operations.

Duties

Reporting to the Shift Foreman, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Willingness to learn and be mechanically competent in safe operation of the manufacturing equipment.
• Assimilate technical and complex information and use these to optimise productivity.
• Conduct quality assessments on the process and finished product.
• Comply with all WHS and environmental procedures.
• Problem solves technical aspects of the process.

• Good Communication skills
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including manual handling which will be performed during shift work.
• Previous experience working in a paper making or packaging manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
