Mechanical Fitter

My client specialises in supplying and maintaining a comprehensive range of industrial air compressors, piping installations, and pneumatic solutions for a diverse customer base ensure all client supply and service needs are covered.



THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Service Technician, you will be responsible for service, repair, commissioning and installation of industrial air compressors, receivers, dryers, filtration, air lines and ancillary equipment. Other key responsibilities include:

• Overhaul air compressors
• Mechanically maintain gearbox, pumps and associated equipment
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in the workshop
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
• Ensure the workshop is in a clean and safe environment to work in
• Carry out scheduled services and repairs in a timely manner

ABOUT YOU

We're seeking a self-motivated person with good mechanical and computer skills along with the ability to fault find hydraulic and pneumatic control systems. As a successful applicant looking for a long-term commitment, you should possess the following skills and qualities:

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification and background (minimum 5 years)
• Previous experience working on industrial equipment (DESIRABLE)
• Previous experience in a maintenance field service environment ( Service / Site based role)
• A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and communicate well as part of a team
• Tickets and Licences - Drivers Licence (ESSENTIAL), Coal Board Medical (IDEAL), Standard 11 (IDEAL), Working at Heights, Working Confined Spaces, Blue/White Construction Card
